Internal formulation of the alloy chemistry gives total composition control, maximising mechanical properties. We produce Aluminium from 2000, 5000, 6000, 7000 series, through to Magnesium AZ80, Scandium, and customised alloys. Starting from Continually casted billets, up to 16" diameter.
All stages of tooling is designed and made in house for all the complete forging process.
We also develop our own hydraulic forging press technology for complete control over expansion and maintenance.
With multiple lines of hydraulic forging presses, with a capacity of up to 12.000T, we can deform large, dense, wheel blank sections.
Following the forging operation, we then flow form the rim section to obtain the desired width.
Where applicable, the T4/T6 heat treatment process then completes the cycle, to achieve the full mechanical properties and maximum strength final forged alloy.
Subsequent CNC machining operations take place from lathe turning through to milling in 3 Axis as well as 5 Axis, to produce the final wheel geometry.
Before any tooling manufacture comes the shape simulation, checking material flow and die fill inside the forging tool during deformation.
We also perform multi stage tooling simulation for complex net (3D) forging production.

Our CAM skills continue later in the wheel production also for analysis of the final wheel machining programming.
We use class leading CAD tools to develop the final wheel component from concept through to final surface approval.
Working in parallel with our customers throughout the development to achieve a digital sign off.
Digital evaluation of the wheel Design, simulating rig test fatigue failure limits as well as client CAE requirements for stiffness, modal frequencies & buckling calculations.
A key part of the technical partnership.
With current working patterns requiring greater flexibility & speed, we also use real time rendering of design proposals.
This allows for a greater confidence in digital surface approval and significant savings in cost & lead time.
